Follow up

 I almost forgot to post this as well I manage to draw 5 frame like drawings and looking out for more of it I really started enjoying of reproducing these drawings as it was useful for thumbnail arts as well if possible as design for portrait like drawing too...

But even if I enjoy drawing it, its still hard to do so especially if the reference material you find and use for them where actually from manga and webtoons as mostly these one were already edited out and actually what the original really looks like and sometime there are some screentone or other design covering or overlapping these wonderful frame like drawings so it really takes some time to draw them. 

Along the way of trial and error on redrawing these kind of drawing I somehow learning to use the symmetric rule but still have hard time for further usage of it I plan to practice more this function as it makes some drawing stuff less tedious to do so.

I was busy

 I was actually ready to post something two to three days ago, but because of busy schedule I got only the time now to post something and as well as update my Patreon for the finished drawings that I've made as expected its hard to draw something because of hectic scheduling in the shop as well, and it will few more days before Christmas as well.

I also accepted a drawing commission once again so I need to do that first, but anyways I done some drawings before accepting the commission so I will post some of it here and the finished ones in Patreon.

These are some effects like drawing I saw in some manga, manhwa and webtoon that I read I got interested in them as I might find some use in them in the future drawings that I do, but I think some of it could be of use on the Chibi drawing I do for the video I record or use as designs for some thumbnails.

December its gonna be busy

 I'm drawing some stuff on computer and on paper (but the one in paper is taking some time as well) it was just simple drawings of swords/weapons even shields that you might see in manga, anime and webtoons it was fun to draw them too.

I'm also still doing the monster and monster parts drawing although it hard to come by some good parts to draw during my research for inspiration and idea...

I got busy but I have made some drawing

 I think its about a month since I haven't post anything here, but I have finished some practice drawings that I did but due to busy schedule of working for our shop as well as recording some games that I play and now there would be addition on my schedule as I need to test each game (mostly online games) we installed for the shop if the game was properly working.

But still I find time to draw something, although posting it is something that I forgot to do even though I intended to post something in the blog and patreon.

Also before I forgot I still searching references for my drawing specially monster parts as well as interesting monster design and their posing using them as data to draw line art for my personal use as I'm bad of doing poses after all so I need to create a guide/line art of it that I can follow....

Drawing for today

 Another drawing to post today, its just a simple frame drawing, I find it nice to look at when I saw it on a manga site but too bad I couldn't manage to really replicate the drawing and need to adjust and edit some part of it that I couldn't copy so I just did what I can do about it.

It was a simple one, I think I could use this on a thumbnail design as well, I'm still trying to look for some design that could catch my interest...

Just simple frame like drawing

 While reading a manga I saw something interesting and I tried drawing it although I need to edit some parts of it because I can't make some of the lines well but all in all I think the drawing came out fine for me. It seems usable too, maybe I can use it as design for a thumbnail but I need to do some resizing for it as well.

Anyway if I saw some interesting stuff again I will try to draw that stuff as close as possible as I can, but there are parts that I have a hard time on making of.

This a sample of the current frame drawing I need to change some parts of it because I can't get the line right or I can't make a good curve for some parts of it as well so I need to make do and improvise the parts that I can't do.

 Hello everyone, although I can't make a post almost everyday I'm still here and doing various stuff and recently there is something I'm planning to do,  but I need some various preparation for it to work out it was an old drawing plan I was really want to do before but neglected to do after I did the Monster Art, it was a monster drawing.

But during the Monster Art drawings I don't have SAI or SAI 2 at that time or even my WACOM Tablet to draw I only use mouse and Illustrator to do it, but now I plan to make a new one with these on my disposal. With it in this drawing plan that I wanted to do it include one of the project I'm also doing in the side since the first Monster Art.

Monster Parts drawings, by researching with various materials for it (Manga, Webtoon, Videogame, Drawings, etc) I was collecting various monster materials that I could find/able to redraw if possible because I need those parts to my future drawing plan.

And now I'm doing the second part of that plan although I'm still collecting Monster Parts idea's from various resources that I can search of, the second part requires me to look for Monster with Poses that I can use as guide line (some it are also found when I do my research for monster parts), I been saying it from my previous post I'm not really good at drawing and I'm doing this as a hobby also as well as I always like drawings. So I need pattern to do the monster drawing or else I might make problem in the proportion of it although there are monster that could be draw without minding proportion I still need guide just in case. 

 

These are some sample of the monster pose guide I did for now, I use various materials for them (Anime, Manga, Videogame Art Collection, etc) I'm not good with posing so I need a guide for it... of course I plan to do more I still lack monster materials too so the plan is still on progress but steadily moving or so.

I'm gone by a month or so!

 Hello everyone!

I was gone for a month something happens that lead to another I got sick and took time to recover, and even after that I got busy because I cause a lot of shift on schedule during the time I got sick so I need to cover ah I mean fix the mess in the aftermath. 

Also during those busy time and just feeling a bit of good, I start losing motivation to what even draw so I lay low for awhile. Trying to get myself on the mood to draw again and now bit by bit I'm picking up the pencil again and doing even simple practice time to time...

But today I'm here to say I'm back although I can't say if I can post every week or so but I would try to draw something and post it here and in the Patreon, and for today's drawing is something simple I also look for some reference in the net for it. It's a chibi drawing of a Minecraft Creeper base on the Image of a toy I saw online it looks good enough that I thought maybe if I draw this one I could use it on the gameplays I recorded time to time.

This is the line art of the chibi Creeper, for now I'm also looking for other minecraft mobs to try to draw as well but for now only this pass to what I'm looking for to draw.

Its July now

It took me awhile to post something in the blog, I'm kinda having a tough time to draw and find some materials to use as reference during my research for drawing as well as conflicting schedules with my other activities, although I did plan to make a planner to organize my schedule, it hasn't even update or rather I haven't made even one plan...

For now the drawing I did for several days now, it was slow process of drawing because I stop every now and then because of I have other things to do now it was taking even longer, if I manage to get back onto working on a proper job again. I absolutely will even have lesser time to do some of the drawings I'm doing right now.

So today this will be the drawings I will show, drawings that can be use for thumbnail frame or something similar although the size need to be adjusted for a proper thumbnail setting, because this drawing is actually bigger than how it appears here in the blog.

I still do research for any possible idea or materials for such drawing so that's why I still also reread and search for some webtoon to see if there are any possible design to study there.

Binchō-tan Drawing

 Hello, I'm still in the middle of searching for more monster parts to draw but lately I find less inspiration on the reference materials I was using for my research, but so far I'm still drawing on my paper but lately I'm trying to get back on my tablet again as well. Though it was not the usual amount of time I spent on drawing on the computer (I want a laptop maybe if I get one I could do drawing much often too) also, during breaks I also look for some old anime that I haven't watch but saw some materials about such I found Binchō-tan.

It was a old anime but somehow did get much that popularity overseas but once that I did watch it, it makes me feel some longing to do some marathon for older type of anime, even though some of the newest anime of this season are good. Sometimes I get the feeling of being bored on watching it as if we already know what will happen next especially for those Isekai ones (don't get me wrong I like Isekai trope of anime but sometimes it feels like the plot or concept nowadays are extremely similar to one another).

So watching old anime somehow makes more try on searching for those anime that I missed on watching because it was not available in my country (during those time there also less anime site too).

and did some minor edit on it.
I also wanted a png of her so I choose this one to draw.

There is a colored version but I will post it on my patreon, also the colored version has two types one has no filter effects on it and the second one has been hue and saturared. I kinda like the the filtered version I haven't tried to edit this drawing on Photoshop all of these was made only on SAI 2.

I been busy these days...

 Something came up these past few days that made my day busy so far but no worries although I can't draw on the computer I somehow manage to do something on my drawing pad although they were just simple drawing again that I was planning to do for years but finally did some of them in bulk and ready to be redraw on the computer. 

There was my plan before to draw monster's and monster part's before but after my first laptop got broken by ants it was put behind for years by now, but to this day I finally done 20 pcs of sketch of monster parts drawings inspired by Anime, Manga, Videogames and other source materials for references I'm been researching this past few days as well with my off time for some materials to work on and now I manage to draw a bunch of parts from familiar monster if you notice the parts of it you might recognize it, although of course on the final drawing there will be changes and adjustments into these drawings.

These are just samples of the monster parts that I research for awhile now, some of them might look familiar because you saw them in anime, manga or even videogames... but still it was an interesting drawing material to look for when I was doing it and I hope if by any chance I combine or match them with another parts as well...

As you can see there are assorted parts included in the drawings, there are eyes, torso, lower body parts, arms, mouth, horns, spike or bone like object that are sometimes prodding out on somewhere in some of monster  design, and many more I'm also trying to look for a parasite like part where I can use it to redraw certain monsters that I might draw again (from the previous drawings before) where they look like being infected/manipulated by some kind of curse or parasite...

It's been a week I think!

 Hello guys I was busy with lot of things, (playing games mostly mobile games: Honkai Impact 3rd and now recently Mafia City, also I was researching for more materials to draw meaning I was binge reading some webtoon as well) but there's nothing to worry in middle of that I'm also doing some drawing to although I think I don't I'm doing good in some part of it but still there are progress.

This is the screenshot of the recent work I'm doing a chibi avatar of mine in police clothing I'm actually having problem with the gun and the holster in the right thigh of the avatar specially well when I did the reverse side of the drawing was really hard for me as you know I'm not really good at drawing and this is just a hobby and I was just trying to earn a bit from it for a sideline if possible.

By the way the chibi I plan to use this on a certain steam game that was gifted to me by a acquittance, it was on my wish list of games in steam and waiting for it to be on sale for a really low price so that I can save some money and buy some even more games (I actually have some back log of games I want to try).

The name of the Steam game that I would use it for is called Police Stories a game from 2019, I really want to try this game for awhile...

I just got busy

 It's been about ten days since I post something, I got busy and also I got hooked on this certain mobile game called Mafia City; see last week I'm looking if there are possible come back for Mafia Wars but the browser game is really gone and no chance of anyone making something like close to it.

And then while looking for any possible inspiration for the next drawing (which is sad to say I didn't) was thinking what to do while playing the mobiles games, and then I remember about the chibi drawing I've been doing and using when I record some of the game I do....

Here are the two sample of the current chibi I've drawn but there used to be a another one it was the original drawing for this but I decided to redraw it and tried to fix some problems in it.

I messed up!

 

I think I need to redraw a few of the latest bunch I made, because of a really big blunder on my side it was a mistake that I did notice earlier but because I want to post something quickly and just thinking it was a minor error only but it really did a good deal of damage to me so I need to redo I think 2 or 3 draw I think it was #71 or #72 upwards.

These two are the current modified Template that I made although it looks the same as the previous one that I made its not that noticeable but of course its still not hundred percent sure that this one is really okay now. As I need to test it out actually.

Today's Drawing Posting!

Hello, everyone I'm finally done with five drawings although it took me quite sometime to finish it because of I have hard time of aligning the design of the drawing when I was about to finish I suddenly see that something is off, so I need to clear almost everything and restart again to the beginning.

Although they were simple some parts of the drawing really need some efforts to make and to check specially in the alignment although I think there are still a bit of difference/error in it but at the very least for me I think I did well on fixing it.

This two drawing (the others also look like this but with smaller block for more designs to fit in), this drawing was inspired by a webtoon and believe or not both are design for flooring mostly it was for tiles, but I think the last one I post (the finished one) there is one  much closer for street or pavement design if I remember correctly if  that's the right word for it.

I actually made five drawings but because they were close or the same design with slight alteration on it decided to post the most simple of them here and posted the others along with on my Patreon page which you guys can visit.

I plan to do other drawings when I do find myself out of inspiration/material references for this kind of drawing theme, although I'm researching for other design that I can do currently I'm don't have one to do yet so maybe I should start doing something else for now.

For reference who are curios what title of webtoon I'm using as references, The Villainess turns the Hourglass and Adventures of an Undead Who Became Paladin but it was the former that I used so much as a reference if with count on the numbers of idea's I get off.

Update for today!

 Hello, guys although I'm not again gonna post yet some of the finished drawings that I made; for now I'm updating that there might be changes in my schedule but its not yet confirmed yet, as I'm trying to take on a online side job. I already tried to know about the group and its seems legit and the one who endorse it to me used to teach/tutor me in school and quite close to my family, so there's a high chance I might accept this online side job (and its work from home too...)

But as you know it, I'm also helping out on our family business but although the side job that I'm trying to do seems not that easy as it look like (it's like an online encoder kind of job) but to be part of it truly, it seems I need to go on an online training/class with their instructor/coach for it as well. With that it having me a complicated scheduling, so that's why I'm still not hundred percent sure if I would be able to do it (you know the online class/training) while helping our family business. 

Anyway back to the drawing, I already done three screentone like drawing but I'm still waiting for two more drawing to post them, they were a simple drawing of a screentone with also a new template I'm not planning to redo seventy pieces of drawing that I already done (and once redraw some of before).

This actually the new template although it's just on almost on the center of the original template I used before I just made a modified and a bit smaller version of the original though I need to draw the lines of it from scratch because for some unknown reason when I used the original as pattern (resized) I found myself not able to align some of the light that well. 

So I need to line them up almost on one by one process, for me to be able to make this work, although I made this new template I will still use both format depending on the pattern I need to use.

This one of the current progress of one of the drawing i was doing there's still a lot of space to draw at and I'm currently coloring the one with colored outline.

I plan to do more but....

 Although I want to post more stuff apparently it may take awhile to post something but I'm still doing some of it even as I wrote this post, researching and redrawing the idea took so much time especially if the reference material I'm using wasn't clear or have obstruction so I need to make a call on how to deal on such situation that sometimes it took me couple of minutes or even half an hour to get a certain line goes well to the design.

Still making a group of design that you can crop if you need only one single design is good to make too, unlike the others which have some really still vast space (mostly in the center is really sometimes look wasteful.) though those design have its own personal uses too, so I will still make such drawing as well.

While thinking how to achieve some the idea's I have in mind it came to me maybe I should use Photoshop as well for it there are limited design effects in SAI 2 so I guess maybe I should do some experiment in Photoshop and transfer that layer back to SAI for me to use.

I'm more used to draw on SAI than in Photoshop but the latter has more flexible options for effects after all, so I would use both of them when I do have time.

Still in the process of drawing this one and right now I'm doing the 4th design in this one there are still some huge space to draw on, so I think it would take a while to finish this one.

Although there were times I just do another one if some idea came out right away.

This month first post!

 Hello everyone, this is the first post for the month of April and its not a joke even though it's already April fool's day okay. I have some drawings ready to be posted before last month ended but decided to add one or two more drawing to the stack that I prepared for the first day of April.

I might do chibi drawing again, if I have chance to fit it on the schedule I miss doing the chibi Captain avatar that I use on my Honkai Impact video's; but still there are many inspiration on this screentone like drawing that I'm currently doing all this time.

Today's post where batch of simple looking design but although they look simple it was actually tiring to them at the beginning and although if you can use them for base for the next drawing or design things can be easily done or so, but it depends on the design that is going to be made I think.

I'm still rereading a certain webtoon and getting tons of idea and inspiration from it although much of it are beyond my skill and force to abandon and do stuff that I can at least pull off or draw.

Wondering if I will have more time to draw this Holy Week, well I'm not fond of going away for vacation so mostly I'm at the house during the duration of Holy Week; If there not much customer in the shop maybe I can do some drawing to pass time.

This drawing was inspired by a part of a webtoon I reread for the sake of research this wasn't the actual idea I have to how it would appear but I go with this because it somehow looks good to but not the one I intended to draw.

The initial idea was to make it look like a marble tile or something but because of the huge format of the canvas I have hard time to make the right design for it, so I just experiment a bit then this was outcome which is done by accident.

That's one part of the reason to that I use this one although it was not the one I have in mind but still got something close to what I'm trying to bring out too.

I don't really know if I can pull of the design I want but maybe if I can do a glass/screen crack drawing then maybe one day I would realize the design I want to do.

For this one was also inspired a part from the same webtoon I was rereading for inspiration and tried to the design, it look easy but it actually took some effort maintain the design to look like this. if I failed from aligning the connection of the initial design the combined form of this drawing wouldn't look like this, I was really concentrating on making sure I don't make a mistake on the alignment, remembering how many time I deleted everything to start from scratch for this....

I wonder if I can do another one of this it was inspired by a flooring design actually, and there another one I want to try but still looking a proper reference for it it was a repetitive circular brick design for a flooring it looks good in my memory I know saw something similar from some manga as well.

 

Next drawing is this, another flooring tile inspired drawing it was combine design actually, main design is actually is the border I thinking of using white or black background for it but if I use white the border wouldn't be noticeable and for black it would be too simple and then I remember screentone 066 drawing and use the design as a support for this and it come out this way.

Though not that much an appeal, for me this drawing came out well, I wonder if I have other design that can work like screentone 066 maybe something even better would come out of it as well.

This design is actually not actually bad, but there something that can make this better but for now, I don't have that right design that could go so well with this one.

One last thing, this is the what it looks like without the screentone 066 to be in the back ground I just use a green back ground just to show the initial design for it. And as you can see its really a simple design but the hard part of this one is how you can maintain the same size for each part without the others gaining that much or rather no difference in size and make them look uniformly, if one or two pillar look too thick than the others it wouldn't look that good at all.

 Hello everyone, I'm back but maybe I shouldn't push my hand yet to draw that much yet so I might slow down the pace of the drawings again ( I hope not so much though), my hand kinda recovered a bit but if it got weary/tired after some intense activity/action there's a bit of lingering pain that I could feel, which also did happen when I did try playing some videogame with a controller after 40minutes of playing I suddenly felt a bit of pain so I stopped.

So I think I shouldn't push that much myself to the drawings, but I'm still doing them but less than the usual time I draw like the week I did before. I don't know if typing would also inflict the same pain like I did when I was holding the video game controller, because I haven't tried to type that long enough for that to happen (and I don't want it to happen anyway).

This is the drawing I was doing before I hurt my hand, I did finished it after a few days but it took me long enough to color this one, because I was hesitating to push my hand at that time so it took awhile.

Although I was posting the gray scale version there is a colored version of this on my Patreon. I'm still reviewing some webtoon to find some inspiration for some drawings as well.

This one is a gray scale version of a brick like pattern for a screentone effect that suddenly came into my mind as I read one of the webtoon I'm reviewing to get inspiration although for now I don't know if I can even use it but I want to do it so I did.

For now this were the drawings I wanted to post I don't know yet when would be the next ones but I'm already making a another for now but its still far from complete.

Some setbacks

 Hello although I to draw many things but for some reason I hurt my wrist specially on my dominant one which i use for drawing even typing this post is freaking hurt right now, though I wonder if I can draw even a little bit or should I rest my hand for now. (but it really hurts)

 

It took some days

Hello guys, it took me some days to do this after all finding some good parts to use as reference for the drawing is time consuming as well redrawing the parts that are completely covered by bubble speech are hard to exactly tell what it looks like so I need to modify or sometimes try my luck to find something similar on the other pages of the references I'm using which also really consume of time to check them.

Anyway the drawing went well I guess, the ones I will posting here are sample's that been edited, while the original ones where in the Patreon page.

I'm still doing some research plan to do some design that can be used alone or be cut out to be added as decoration or something so I need to do some reference check thoroughly for most of this I use webtoon's for ideas.

Webtoon use some interesting designs a lot and in colored as well but it's really hard to clear up the obstruction on each interesting design sometime there interesting ones but they are already cut in half or slice some part that you can't tell how the missing part really looks like...

  

Another Screentone drawing

Hello, once again here I am for another screentone drawing that I just made yesterday though I didn't post right away due to something came up during the time I was making them also I was making a another one as well but didn't finish till earlier but I would to post that one as well for now the one I will be posting here is from the ones I finished yesterday.

These two images are just simple design it was like the first screentone format I made the multiple dots one, but this time I copy a swatch color from a certain reference of manga, as I try to emulate the same effect they use on the manga pages.

Though I hope I did it right anyway the third drawing that I just finished is just simple screentone drawings it has multiple images single flower, and star like image as well with different color the plan for it was like it can be use a cut out images that can be use to decorate some of the previous screentone images that I did before.

Hello, even though I want to post almost everyday it's hard to do so, as my schedule are quite busy with helping our family business and almost I can only use the computer at night to draw at SAI, but during that time I also need to do some quest to the online games that I play. So my time is quite pack every single day, if I only have a laptop like before maybe I could do more drawings while even working at our business.

I do plan to buy laptop 3 years before or so but then the pandemic hits and put all the plan in disarray and now even the commissioned work has stopped, I know how I lack the skill to be full time artist or illustrator. But the income from that would really helped to fund for the laptop before (I was able to buy a new phone before because of that) but the remaining fund I manage to save up before I stopped receiving commission was not enough for it.

Anyway I still continue to practice my drawing by doing this kind of drawing too, thinking it could also server an advertisement if someone saw it, although I lack skill I still want to draw and improve,  and just recently I once again stepped into the gaussian blur effect but still not used to it so I don't use that really. But after yesterday I plan to study that effect and add that to my style of drawing if possible. 

Still reading and checking webtoon also took some of my time checking which one I could use it hard to redraw and clean up the specially if the image was cropped out because of characters and speech bubbles too. the additional effects on the background also didn't help at all in one of these drawing one design have a flower petals scattered and covering some of the actual background design I have took sometime on redrawing those parts that got covered by those petals.

I have two purpose for this template of screentone like drawing from this one and the last post I did, the first use to have a canvas in the center of image that can be use to put a character in the center of it or for the second use I think and for the reason I use a png format for the image is that it can be cropped out it one part is needed or something like that.

In addition not only SAI but I plan to utilize the help of both Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop if possible for my drawings in the future projects as well.
